About the Firm Founder - Vincent Nappo (1925 -2012) Vincent Nappo and wife Gloria, natives of New York, moved from Brooklyn down to Washington, D.C. when Vincent got an offer to start an attorney's job at the State Department. They had been married at the close of World War II, Mr. Nappo had been an officer in General Eisenhower's command in London, England. After briefly working at State, he decided to try his luck as a solo practitioner in law, and he opened his first little office in 1955. This office had a church bench across from the desk as the "clients' waiting area." From that humble beginning, Vincent Nappo loved the law, and maintained his law offices for another 58 years, to age 87. He worked through major illness and even collapsed during a major medical malpractice case - never fear, after life-threatening surgery, he was back some months later, to go on to win that very same case with the same Judge and jury. His career included several winning appeals which are commemorated in the Law Books and several huge settlements in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. When Mr. Nappo passed in late 2012, many clients who knew and loved him, shed tears. Remarkably, he never looked his age, having jet black hair even to his last days. He will be remembered for his calm nature in the face of intense pressure, his clearness of mind and thought, and his steady hand when writing out pleadings and appeals. He rarely needed to rewrite his first draft on a case, having a unique quality to capture the essence of the case, the heart of it, in a concise and winning manner. Mr. Vincent Nappo's clients will remember him for his quick sense of humor and his attractive smile, and he will be remembered for his quiet modesty even in the face of his greatest victories at Court.
